True Love Is Understanding
I decided to write the transcript to this video so that there can be clarity in the words I am speaking:
True love is understanding. It doesn't have anything to do with anyone else, it has to do with you. Do you understand who you are? Cellf love is about understanding who you are and accepting that and it's not "Oh I like this" or "I like that'' or "this makes me angry"... why do you like that what is it rooted in? What is really causing anger inside of you? No one can do anything to make you angry, you choose to be angry based off of someone else's actions.True love is understanding, you gotta go deep, gotta go into the darkness and accept some shit that you don't want to accept. Until you do that you will not have true love inside or outside of you.
My thoughts: What I have found to be true is that every time I have tried to pour love into others and not into me, I failed. I failed with making me feel good. I always love seeing others happy however it came to a point in my life where I had to fully understand that my actions were benefitting others more than they were benefitting me. It came to a a point where I felt so unloved and misunderstood that it was hurting me internally. I felt sick to my stomach for the lack of love and support that I was not receiving even though I had given it to others. I had the expectation that if I showed love it would come back to me, the reality was that I was pouring into the wrong people. I was pouring into energy vampires who wanted to feel good but really did not care about how I felt. I also gained understanding that when I love me then and only then will the ones who want to genuinely love me will appear. It has been a long journey to get to this point of understanding, I am thankful that I have this opportunity to understand the importance of cellf love. I have to put me first or I will always feel like something is missing!
